Been back from Australia for 1 wk+ already, time flies and the 11 day holiday feels so unreal like I never went.. Lucky there are lot's of pictures to remind me of the trip and it was all real and I didn't just dream about it. I've found a job! =) So I was busy for the past week settling some of the admin stuff and went to my bro's house for the first time to help clean up. The furniture has not arrived yet so I'm still not sure how my room will look like.. But the rest of the house looks not bad~ Also managed to catch 2 movies this week, Kung Fu Panda and The Happening. Kung Fu Panda is cute and funny as expected! The Happening on the other hand is not so" happening" for me.. because its quite gross with so many people dying.. Only 3 weeks till the start of work.. sigh.. no work, also sigh.. got work also sigh... sigh...

School has officially ended for about 1 week and I am just bumming around the place.. Putting job hunting on hold until I get back from Australia, sigh... why are jobs so hard to find leh? *sigh* x2

My thoughts about Sichuan Earthquake.. )

Hotel room!

Apart from watching a lot of news on TV for the past week, I went KL last week with my bro, his wife, his wife's sister and my bf. After using all my 撒娇 skills on my bro and wife, he agreed to sponsor me a large part of the trip! Bro and wife is good! So we only needed to pay RM300 for both nights! And the hotel is damn nice can... its a service apartment with plasma tv! I know its very common nowadays but I am poor and do not own one...

Pavillion

Actually this wasn't the room we stayed in because it was infested with small cockroaches! Eeeeww! So we called to complain and they upgraded us to a bigger apartment on the 25th floor! It was a room for 6pple and it has 3 bathrooms and even a funny room that only has an ironing board. On the first day we went to the Bukit Bintang area and there was a new shopping centre called Pavillion! Its very big and very posh! But it feels like Singapore because it has all the Sg brands like Breadtalk, Polar cakes and many other familiar Sg shops. But its nice.. so big.. but all the malls in KL are so big.. we also went Mid Valley in the afternoon. As if Mid Valley is not big enough, they now have an extension called Garden but it has mainly branded stuff which poor me has no $$ to buy.

KL al fresco dining

Of course, no KL trip is complete without Bak Kut Teh, Dim Sum, Hokkien Mee and Peanut Paste! I ate Hokkien Mee everyday in KL, because you can't get the same taste here in JB.. and the stall I always go and eat has very romantic al fresco dining by the road and LRT track under the street lamp. So we sat there and enjoyed the mee, sweating like mad with the cooking smoke around us.. Bliss ya? Can't wait for Saturday to come!

YESH!! EXAMS ARE OVER~!~! Wooo hooooo! Just need to finish with FYP poster presentation on 12 May and I'll be relieved of all school matters! After that can look forward to Australia trip! Oh yah... and I'll be officially unemployed.. sigh.. hope can find a job soon! *cross fingers*

Came across this Food Blog while reading through Daily Makan Photo . This guy is amazing wor! He actually attempted to make his own Ramen at home. Right from boiling the soup and braising his own Cha Siew. At least now I know how they make the special runny yolk egg in all the Ramen! But it is a lot of work.. because you need the gravy after you braised the pork to soak the egg so that it will have taste. The bestest egg so far is still at Tanpopo, and of course the bestest ramen is also at Tanpopo! Heard Tanpopo has expanded to a big restaurant at Liang court basement, but haven been there for a long time so I'm not sure how much it has changed. Hm.. maybe next time when I move in with my bro in SG, I can convince him to try out making the ramen cos i don't think my mum is very enthu about ramen. Hahaha.. Amazing guy!

I think it wont be long before I finish looking through all the pictures.. sigh.. then I have to keep checking the site everyday for the few updated pictures.. All of them are so cute and I cant decide which on I like the best! Cuteness!!

1 paper down, 1 more to go on Friday! Sianz~ No mood to study already leh.. No more stamina like last time liao.. Can't even stand studying continously for 1 week.. I is weak... Last day of mugging tmr!! Yeah~! So sad.. public holiday still need to study, but it is the last Mayday holiday that will be spent studying I think. Gaaaa... Graduating soon!

Tmr is good friday! Whee~~ Actually I still need to go to lab because of the cells~ Ahhh... but then at least meeting BP gals for lunch at Geylang! Yeah~! Food is always good, ya?! This week has been a rainy week, something's wrong with the weather again, I don't remember March being such a rainy season leh. Almost couldn't get up for BioMEMS lesson this morning because it is just so nice to stay in bed when it is raining outside....

F1 race car @ City Square

Watched Charlie Wilson's War @ City Square last Saturday, it was definitely better than 10,000 BC I watched the previous week! I feel that 10,000 BC is a bit corny because it is jus weird that cavemen speak english and everyone hail the guy-who-talks-to-Sabertooth-Tiger.. -_-" At least now I know a bit more about Afghanistan after watching Charlie Wilson's War and it has good actors like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. But the most interesting that happened last Saturday was I witnessed a GANG FIGHT! Coool man! We were sitting at Wong Kok Char Can Ting, enjoying the very nice Yuan Yang (it is the best I have ever drank!) and then suddenly a group of 20 malay teens walked into the shop. One of the malay guy punched this chinese guy sitting at one of the tables then they flipped the table and threw chairs! Wah! Like movie like that wor! After that the shop manager shouted at them and the malay gang left the place. Luckily there wasn't any blood shed wor.. just punch the guy only, no parang, no gun. So action pack wor!

Milo Truck @ Science

The semester is coming to an end in around 1+mth and I haven been seeing the Milo truck often... =( I wonder why the frequency of Milo Truck has decreased tremendously this sem.. I have only drank it like 3/4 times.. no more milo truck after I graduate.. so sad.. Going to miss the green truck and the cold brown liquid flowing out of the brown tanks.. Yummy.. bye bye Milo uncle.. *waves*

Parma Ham Pizza

Ate pizza again today! Tried the Parma Ham with rocket salad pizza. I didn't know that such a kind of pizza existed. Was a bit shocked to see what seems like raw meat on a forest of vegetables. Therefore, I was a bit apprehensive about eating it. But it is so big and I am hungry so I gave it a try. It taste better than it looks and I ate like... 2 and 3/4 pieces? Hahaha.. The combination of parma ham and the forest of rocket vegetables is quite nice plus the tomato sauce and cheese underneath. This pizza is not as 腻 as the cheesy one we ate last time. But the sight of the raw looking meat still irks me. I guess smoked things look a bit raw like the 1/4 cooked venison I ate at Raffles Culinary..O.o Still got a lot of different kinds of pizza to try! 2 down, many more to go!

Enjoy the public holiday everyone!! =)

The week is passing faster and faster these days.. before I know it, its already the end of the week liao.. I thought I just came back from JB, now its the weekend again! Oh man.. means a lot of things are going to be due soon! Nooooo... *stressed* I thought I was going to spend a lonely evening by myself today after project discussion, but Bro called and jio-ed me out to eat dinner! So I happily waited for A2 at the bus stop to go back PGP. I was standing at the bus' front door waiting for pple to alight from the bus so that I can get up. Then this stupid guy got down and swang his bag over his shoulders and the next thing I felt was a sharp, acute pain on my face. The stupid idiot elbowed my face! Wah Kaozzzzz! Kanna elbowed in the face is no big joke lor, is pain de lor! Lucky I is civilised and never scold bad word lor, only made a "AWWWWWW" sound and glared at him. Lucky stupid idiot realised he elbowed me and apologised and I was in a good mood. Spent the rest of the trip massaging my face, lucky don't have a bump only slightly red but it still hurts when I press on it. Stupid idiot....

Supposed to meet at 6.40pm at Raffles City but all modes of transport arrived the minute I am there so I reached there at 6pm. Spent 5min walking around the basement feeling hungry and the rest of the time in MPH reading a book on quotes by Malaysian politicians. Its super amusing especially after the recent very exciting elections, but I didn't get to vote cos I never registered. Hope by the next elections, the oppositions will campaign more fiercely in Johor then can see more action.

PSP

And Bro agreed to lend me his PSP! Yeah~! Hope its long term lend which means no need return! Hahaha.. Don't know he got so good or not leh... Hehehe.. But then the games can only be downloaded by BT and i cant BT in school.. that means it will be more troublesome to install game.. sigh.. but better than nothing bah.. then can play when I am waiting for the cells during lab also..

Photos

The photos that I developed using Snapfish arrived last week! Wheeee~! After deducting the 50 free photos I got from signing up and recommending people, I only paid SGD 3.70 for 59 photos including postage! Good stuff! The quality is OK according to my standards and I think its very worth it for the price plus it only took 3 days to arrive. So I'm going to accumulate more photos and develope at one shot next time and it saves me the hassle going to the photo shop.

Cute Dolls!

I went for Phy in Life Science lecture expecting another boring lecture but XY suddenly took out 1 purple doll and gave it to me! She got one for each one us, White = Pris, Orange = Mh, Purple = Me and Blue = Her. Hahaha.. she says I should replace domokun on my bag with the purple dude, but if I do that, purple dude will get dirty in no time just like my domokun turing blacker everyday. So i shall keep him on my table and he can stay purple~

Pizzzzza~

When to try out the pizza place at Bouna Vista last Friday after reading on ieat about it! Should have gone there earlier since its so near school but I have never read that post until I stumbled upon it last week. Tried the pizza with 3 types of cheese ( i forgot what is it called) and their lagsania (forgot the spelling). Pizza was very very very cheesy and nice if you like to eat cheese but will get full very quickly because there is nth else on the pizza except cheeeeese! In the end couldnt finish and dabao-ed 3 slices home. Ate one the next day before tuition by heating it up in the oven for 5min, it was still very cheesy and delicious even though I kept it overnight! Goood stuff! Like how ieat described it, "Italian Pizza at HDB price!"

曹格 @ Bugis

Couldn't go home this week because of the stringent checks at Woodlands Checkpoint to catch Mas Selamat, that resulted in massive jam.. So ended up hanging around Bugis yesterday after tuition and just so happened 曹格 was having 签唱会 at 6pm! So stood there for 30 min listening to him sing his new songs. His singing is 厉害 de wor.. He is one of the male singers that I really 欣赏 ..  It was quite crowded but then nothing compared to Sun Yan Zi's 签唱会 where you can't even breathe.. but gone were the days of lining up for autograph.. haha.. "那是我们会不去的从前..“

Domo bag @ Bugis

And then I spotted this "Domo" bag hanging on one of the push cart stalls! Domo is the nick I use to play DOTA! Hahaha.. its named after the brown Japanese mascot. the other side of the bag is Domokun's face which is rather scary so I din take a photo of it. But the bag is furry.. nice to touch de wor.. 毛毛。。

Some where near Arab Street

After walking and standing around in Bugis, we went to Beach Road to eat Klang Bak Kut Teh. Although its not as nice as KL de, its still not too bad and not too expensive. Passed by this street that has many small small shops that are boutiques. I think I saw it on TV before, remember seeing the 2nd hand shop selling Japan imports. Its like this funky place where some very hip youngsters hang out, never knew such a place existed.

Mid term break is over! So fast.. few more wks of school to go.. Oh man.. that's super fast!! AAhhhh.....

Just got thrashed in a game.. sigh.. 1 of the many lessons that I learnt from dota is that, sometimes you just don't get it your way because shit just happens and you do nothing about it. sigh sigh sigh.. just now 4 of the best players just got shuffled into the same team even though its supposed to be random!! ARGH!! and this is not the first time happening, is sian de wor.. playing a game that you noe you are going to lose it because it is just unbalanced but it is part of the game and you cant DC... sigh sigh sigh.. play so long already still get affected by dota.. zhen shi de wor.. just a game only rite? but then I still get angry/pissed/irritated after the game for like 30 min. If my opponent is next to me, I think I'll go and strangle him! Oh man.. I is violent.. WHY THE SHUFFLE FUNCTION IN THE GAME SO STUPID!!! ARGH! ANGRY! ok.. time to go sleep.. good nite!

Mid-term break is here! Although the break will not be really a break, at least the 3 tests are over... Finished with the last 3 mid-term tests of my Uni life! Which means I'll be graduating soon! Oh man... then I'll be unemployed.. sigh.. Haven been posting much because I am lazy and I'm always doing something else online like watching dramas, anime, surfing blogs, playing dota, facebook, doing work... so many things to do de leh.. always on the computer and my time just gets suck away. 2008 is passing so fast! It feels as though school just started but CNY is over, mid term break is here and before I know it, I'll be handing over my thesis and going for convocation. Whoooosh! In this short time, managed to meet up with many friends also~ The primary school gang, the BP gang, the S7A gang, Bie gang.. 7788 meet finish liao wor.. and all meetings almost always revolve around food! Good stuff! Just went to eat Clementi claypot + Sunset way ice cream again, its like a standard protocol liao.. I've been bringing frends for this routine for 3 times alr.. Haha.. But it is still good stuff which I enjoy a lot!

I realised I like to write in long long paragraphs and someone once told me, reading my entries is like reading it in "one long breath". But its like weird starting a new paragraph when everything seems related and I always digress and talk about something else.. Anyway, quite a lot of things happened during my absence from LJ.

Bro's ROM
Bro ROM-ed with long time gf Xiangping and will be getting married at the end of the year on my Mum's birthday. Will be leeching off Bro after I graduate and staying with them at their new flat at Buangkok. I am hoping to not pay rent and leech until I get kicked out~ Hahaha.. But most prob will get arrowed to do housework.. sigh.. nvm... I is broke.. so leeching is only option! Then I'll be joining the East gang after being in the West for quite long. But there are a lot of good food in the East wor~ Like the dimsum at Geylang! Is nice de wor!! FOOOOOD!

BBQ @ Pam's house

Haven been to Pam's house for close to a year now, Kovan Melody is already built with pple staying inside liao. Almost couldnt find Lowland Road because it got blocked by the condo. So now Pam has a nice BBQ pit at the back of her house to BBQ! As usual, there was too much food and we could only finish like half of them. But the cheese sausage was good stuffff! Pam attempted to get us drunk but lucky there wasnt enough time for her to start her stunt!

Merlion @ Sentosa

Went Sentosa for 1 evening with dear to visit the flower exhibition thingy. Haven been there since Year 1 O week.. yah.. it has been that long. Took the new LRT there and looked at the flowers. Felt like I was in China, cos the no. of PRC > Locals. Guess the PRC tourists are on holiday because of the CNY break bah. The new musical fountain got fireworks de wor.. no wonder need to pay de.. Heng last time I went to see the old one although I found it quite lame, got some fish/monkey thing running around.

OK~ its late~ better go sleep already, tmr still need to go tuition. yah.. took up 1 student because I is broke and need $$.

Haven posted for eons but am still very much alive~! The sem is coming to an end in just a few more weeks, which is super fast, I thought it just started? School is much more hectic now compared to Sichuan Uni days where I spent majority of the time walking around instead of doing work. Finally I can stop going to the lab because of exams!! Yeah~! Actually exams is just an excuse for me to stop going because I only have 2 open books exams on the 22 nov and 27 nov, can slowly start studying and get in the exam mood. HR presentation is on Wed and we just did video filming on Saturday! It was fun and extremely funny! Maybe can upload the final clip when I am not feeling not so lazy which I have been for the past semester. I blame it on facebook, cos time that could have been spent updating LJ has been used to play games like (fluff)Race or some other not-very-fun-but-i-still-play-it applications like Dota and Mindjolt. I is lame...

Anyway, this post main objective is because [info]babyduo tagged me!

Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. Tag six of your friends and ask them to give you a view of their desktops as well.

Time flies and I will be going back in 1 mths time! Worried that my luggage will be overweight and I wont know until I weigh it at the airport. Still need to hand carry fat totoro in my arms.. hope I'll be able to do it!! Thinking whether to hold him like tat, or put him in plastic bag and put in the carrier compartment on the plane. But then I feel like hugging him and sleep on the plane leh... But then  again.. he so fat, I'll have no space to eat dinner if  I do that.. how?? Nvm.. next mth then worry.. now still need to worry about all the assignments and exams that are either due soon or coming! Argh! I just hope my chinese is can make it de.. sigh..

Anyway! We went to the peach orchard at 龙泉 to pick peaches!! =) It was one of the no tour guide expeditions we have in China, so we went there with faith that we would find the orchards and pick some peaches!

Fruits that we saw at the orchard! Real fruits on trees!!!

(Continued from the previous post..)

After coming out from 九寨沟 at around 4.30pm we were weak and couldn't resist the temptations of Discos (a fast food chain restaurant similar to KFC in China) because we were deprived of meat during the trip. So we shared some fried chicken and ice cold Pepsi... Ahh... That was the best meal throughout the 4 day trip! Then we met up with the rest of the tour group and was brought to our hotel about a 20min drive away from 九寨沟. This time we were only 2000m+ above sea level so the temperature wasnt that cold and we would not be frozen throughout the night. We put down our stuff and ate dinner and prepared ourselves for the house visit to one of the 藏族 households.

There were roasted barley, potatoes, bread, mutton soup, Qing Diao Wine and some milky drink.

We went to watch our first movie, Spiderman 3,  at the cinema in China today!! Happily brought our student pass to the cinema and bought the student tix at RMB25 (SGD5) for the 3.05pm show ~ Was half shocked, half expected when the person said that it'll be dubbed in Chinese... but we still went to watch anyway! Then skipped merrily to 茜茜快餐 for our lunch while the uncle tried to be friendly and asked us where are we from. As usual, he thought we are from Guangzhou and was amazed when we told him we are from Singapore because we could actually speak Chinese! After lunch, we frolicked to buy 泡冰 (something like fruit salad with jam and ice) and 龟零膏 to bring inside the cinema to eat.  Showed out tickets to the usher and went into the cinema only find it pitch dark... we were a bit puzzled and walked out to check whether we went into the correct threatre or not. Suddenly, the lights in the theatre came on and we went inside to sit and realised that we were the only ones watching the movie... Was a bit over-excited and started to shout when the movie started, LOL.. quite stupid, but it was our first time watching a movie all by ourselves in a theatre. Feels as if we booked the entire cinema just to watch the chinese version of Spiderman.. Hehehe.. Felt a bit weird hearing Peter Parker speaking in Chinese but got used to it after a while. Luckily the songs were still in english, if not it would have been even more weird... The show was ok lar~ a lot of things happened within the movie, but it could have been better~ The cinema was also quite nice~ Actually its even cleaner than JB cinemas and don't have weird smell, unlike some JB cinemas.. After the movie, we down to the 2nd floor to enquire about the price for KTV sessions in the afternoon! It costs only RMB 48 for 1 small room (fit ard 6pple) from 1pm-6pm!! But nvr really ask more clearly, so they might be hidden charges but I doubt so because there is no such thing as govt or service tax in China!! =) Maybe can go sing next week because Xy and I are getting more and more gien about singing KTV!

Mh wrote a post about my hibernation habit at night after I told them about it yesterday while waiting for lesson to start. She doodled one winterpolarbear carrying a mug yesterday on xy's notebook and she went on to draw one uber cute one sleeping on her lappy ytd! So cute! So now I can live up to my email address because I always put my aircon to 21 deg [cooling mode] before I sleep (no matter what is the temperature outside) and will put it to 26 deg [heater mode] when I am rolling ard in bed before I wake up. The amazing aircon our rooms has the cooling mode and heater mode and will make funny sounds at night because its adjusting itself. Mh's aircon even splashed water on her once for no apparent reason. So I really <3 my aircon esp during the 1st night in Jiu Zhai Gou.. if only I could bring the aircon with me and set it to 28 deg [heater mode] and I wont be having cold feet...  Anyway, the temperature is now quite high in Chengdu already.. almost the same as Singapore, so its really nice to hide in the room with the aircon.... ah... I sound as if I'm having an affair with my aircon.. LOL!!

I made it back alive from the 4D3N 九寨沟/黄龙 trip!! They ought to give everyone who survived that trip a certificate man!! Apart from the 1.5 days spent visiting the tourist attractions, the rest of the 2.5 days were hell!! I dunno whether to remember the trip as a happy one or a torturous one.. But its all worth it at the end of the day! Got to visit 美丽的童话世界,九寨沟 and 黄龙!

DAY 1

Woke up at 6am to get ready for the trip because the van was picking us up at 6.30am, arrived at this place to wait for the bus to arrive. Bought some biscuits and snacks for the trip in case we got hungry. By the time we got up the bus, it was almost full. So Mh and I took the 2nd last seat while poor Xy had to take the seat at the last row. I didn't know that one will get bus-sick more easier by sitting at the back of the bus because you can't sync yourself with the bus' movement. But apparently its true! Because the auntie in front of us was puking every 5 min during the bus ride and she managed to change seats to the front and stop puking. We knew the bus ride would be 10 hrs long, what we didn't expect was that it would be soooooo winding, giddy and puke inducing.

The river that we followed all the way to 九寨沟.

Whoosh~! I'm already more than halfway through my SEP in Chengdu already! I just spent my entire Mayday Holiday (which is also the mid-term break) slacking in the hostel! Haha.. had to spend it slacking because it will be too crowded to go travelling since the whole of China is also on holiday. So I managed to finish all 23 episodes of Code Geass during the break and started on D-gray man~! And also started to watch Naruto Shippuuden yesterday!! No wonder everyone said its nice!! Got to see so much of Kakashi!! Hahaha.. watch 1 episode already will keep wanting to carry on watch but the streaming is very slow because its a non China based website. And I start to remember why I like Kakashi so much!! Hehehe..

School is starting to get more like school. Have to do paper review and essay for Cell Bio, Lab for the sensor module, essay for Chinese History and Maths homework as usual.. But its still soooo much slacker compared to a normal NUS semester~! Hope we can get to go Jiu Zai Gou next week, before all the assignments are due! 7 more weeks of school to go only~!

~Continuing from previous post~

After we arrived at 都江堰客运站, we made our way to the counter to buy tickets for the bus that will take us to 青城后山. Although the time stated on the board said that the last bus was 5pm, there didn't seem to be any bus waiting at the bay. Made several enquires at the counter and we concluded that there wasnt any more bus there even though it was only 4pm. So we decided to take a bus to 青城前山 first and take another bus to 青城后山, since there were still buses to 青城前山. And while deciding to so, we were constantly pestered by villagers who claimed that they stayed on the mountain. They said they could bring us up the mountain without having to pay the entrance fee because they have special passes. And that we could stay over at the house with food and lodging and they could be our tour guide. But we weren't planning of going to 青城前山 since it has mainly Taoist temples while 青城后山 has more scenary. But those pple were very very very persistant and followed us up the bus trying to convince us that there was nothing to see at 青城后山 and we shouldn't go there. However, we were not swayed and just keep saying "不要, 不要,不要。" And finally they left us alone.. phew.. its so scary going to some unknown person's house to stay over..

Been in Chengdu for 2 months already! So it was a good excuse for us to eat good food today + its the start of our mid term break! Yeah~ No school!! Headed down to O Sole Mio for lunch and had some really good bread and western food at a very low price and will definitely go back there because they are having 40% off!! And the best thing about restaurants here is that they do not have GST and service tax so there is no need to take the total multiply by 115%. The weather is getting cold again.. last week the weather was as hot as Singapore, now its raining almost everyday and its windy~ I don't know which kind of weather is better because I generally complain when its hot and when its cold. Hehe..

I don't know what got into me these 2 days.. I'm into Wizard of Oz again!! AHHHH!! Downloaded the show yesterday and was very excited about it. And when I'm excited, its super obvious!! Because I was singing the songs out of the blue while we were walking around (which is what we do for most of the time when we are out) and I think I sorta traumatised mh. Judging from the entry she wrote on "fictional" ZL... I think I really shocked her with "Follow the yellow brick road! Follow the yellow brick road!!" + "Ding Dong the witch is dead! Which old witch, the wicked witch! Ding Dong the wicked witch is dead!!" + "We're off to see the wizard.... the wonderful wizard of oz!!" verses randomly while we were walking.. Hahaha.. And it got worse after we watched the show this afternoon in my room! It was really nice to watch the original version for the first time because I've never seen it, I've only read the story when I was younger. Reminds me of the days in choir ... crapping around with Ivy and Dayanaa while waiting.. LOL!! Those were the days!! Too bad it was dubbed in chinese except for the songs part, so I could still sing along! Yeah~! The costumes for the munchkins inside the show was 1000 times better than ours! And they got midgets to act as munchkins... oh man... so we were all acting as midgets acting as munchkins? But it was really nice watching it! Xy was also quite excited I think, cos in between the time we watched the show and dinner. She 出 her google power, and googled about the show and came out with all sorts of funny facts about wizard of oz. The most interesting one was the alternate ending she found on youtube that totally skewed my perception of wizard of oz... LOL! I think we are really going to "educate" xy for the remaining 2mths here and she'll go back home a changed person... Buahahaha...

Been busy with assignments for the past few days because we went for an impromptu trip to 都江堰 and 青城山 last Friday and Saturday~! Although its only a week ago, I have a feeling that I went there like a month ago. I have no idea why do I have that feeling.. A friend we met in Cell Bio class who will be going to NUS for exchange for 1 year recommended that we visit these 2 places and told us roughly how to get there. So we searched for more info about the places and went the next day. I didn't think I was brave on the day before for 2 girls to just go on a trip like that on ourselves, but I actually think we are quite brave! *pats own back*

Artist's (Minghao's) impression of FOP-pies. [FOP= Full of Problems]

This post is dedicated to my friend who lives in Rm205 at the 留学生宿舍.. She has been officially conferred the title of FOP. As you can see from the picture, she is plagued with problems ever since SEP started in Chengdu. I think we spend 1/3 of our time in Chengdu listening and analysing poor friend's problems...

It all started with a leaky toilet ceiling... which will drip a liquid (I wouldn't want to know what is that) on you if use the 马桶.. So my poor friend had to report it to the 服务员 about it and it took them quite long to repair it. And it started to leak again after they repaired it... so poor friend had to report to 服务员 again.. and then she realised that her shower area started to leak too! And the 服务员 had to go repair it for her again.. between the day the leak was found and the day it got repaired which spanned over a period of..... about 3 weeks I think, poor friend had been expressing her concern over leaky toilet to us. So being good friends we tried to comfort her that it'll be fixed one fine day and she can always come "bless" our toilets..

Finally, poor friend's toilet got fixed and she managed to dettol it. (in case you don't know wat does "dettol it" means, it means using Dettol, a disinfectant, to disinfect the area/thing/object) And we though her problems will end there... NOT! Poor friend then started to develop rashes.. So we tried to figure out what was the cause of this new problem.. Perhaps it was caused by the cold? dry weather? blanket? bedsheet? bed buds? bed mites? UFOs? After eliminating whatever might be the reason, rashes started to subside a little and poor friend also managed to get a "Made In Singapore" 药膏 to apply on her rashes. And so we thought the rashes problem was solved.... NOT! It became a problem again, now moving to her legs.. So more brainstorming was carried out, trying to solve the problem and a new tube of 药膏 was bought to salvage the situation. Before this problem was solved.. Poor friend suddenly had this "funny feeling" on her hands! So while rubbing her hands together, she expressed her concern to us whether her hands were too dry? funny? And she briefed us on the reasons that might have caused this problem... maybe she wasn't drinking enough water? But I suggested to her, maybe she was just dettol-ing too much and Dettol might be very damaging to her skin.. and while battling "funny feeling" hands problem, she was also found it very problematic going to the toilet numerous times throughout the day. And of course, she had a long list of causes for this weak bladder problem.. maybe it was caused by too high intake of water? high intake of salt? weak bladder? something wrong with kidneys? Oh yah! and while she was battling wif "funny feeling" hands problem and weak bladder problem, she neglected her rashes problem and it didnt itch anymore.. So I think it can be deduced that most of her problems are probably psychological..... right?

No matter whether is it psychological or physcial my poor friend, don't worry. We will be glad to try to solve it for you! Because... that's what friends are for right? Must remember that, no matter how not nice is that dou sha bao you bought for me, I'll finish it , because you specially da bao it back for me.. =)

[p.s Poor friend's hot water flask was also leaking and 服务员 had to fix it for her but I forgot when did it happen.. too many problems and I got the timeline a bit mixed up..]
